Tender Loops started with a little frustration. When I first tried crochet, I struggled to follow many of the patterns I found. Some instructions were unclear, important steps seemed to be missing, and I often felt lost before I'd really got started.

So I decided to create the kind of patterns I would have wanted to find — clear, visual and easy to follow, especially for total beginners.

Ever looked at a pattern and thought, “And now what the hell am I supposed to do?”

Me too. That feeling is a big part of why Tender Loops exists.

Behind these patterns is someone who also needed the “obvious” things explained. So if you're still figuring out the basics, you're in good company.

Every pattern is shaped by the mistakes I've made and the time I've spent figuring out how to avoid them. I've worked those lessons into the instructions, so you don't have to learn everything the hard way.

I'm building Tender Loops one pattern at a time. My hope is that you'll find something here, think “I could make that,” and have the guidance you need to give it a go.
